Hey! First off, Good to see you here. Hope your experience with anidayventures website has been good. :) Ok, so here goes a little about me. I have always been a adventure sports enthusiast. Dabbled a wee in different kinds of adventure sports.
Skydiving (in New Zealand), paragliding (learnt my basic course in India), a few leisurely para sailing activities in popular holiday places, Bungee Jumping (in scenic South Island of New Zealand and initial jump in Bangalore, India), micro lite flying (with a friend of mine in Bangalore), oodles of backpacking and trekking, a great campervan trip (Wow New Zealand), go-karting, horse riding (learnt in Bangalore Turf Club), rock climbing, sea kayaking (coromandal coast of NZ, where we got to see a pair of Orcas or commonly known as Killer Whales), swimming with the dolphins (with thoughts of sharks tearing into me not far off), bicycling trips, motor bike trips and one very exciting fishing trip where we managed to get a small shark, which thrashed the side of our little boat!!
Given a chance I would still be doing a lot of these regularly, but now, I have taken to a different adventure trail… called 'family'. I now have a little son. Somewhere in between enjoying him, he has turned 3.5. Where did the time go!!I could do quick workouts and be back with my sonny but had little chances of of flinging myself from a bridge casually tied to a bungee cord… or gallavanting across hills in search of deeper meanings... at least not for some more months to come…
So I took to the next best thing…. sharing news views and pot loads of exciting information on adventure sports! AniDay Ventures is the result of this. www.anidayventures.com should give lots of interesting details on various adventure sports… not too bulky to the reader… its nice and light, I would say. It has about 35 odd adventure sports, its history, equipment, safety, record holders, fun facts, an odd quiz or two, and Organisers of these sports in India.
I started worked on this site when I was carrying my son completed the first release on his first birthday!! He cut two cakes!
Post that, I have managed to get back into doing what I love. Got into serious entreprenural role in the outdoor education industry. Many treks in the Sahyadris and easy trips with family to enjoy nature. Trained for an endurance adventure race and finished it. ! Completed the NOLS Mountaineering Expedition course in the Himalayas. Looking for the next adrenalin rush. Till then. See you around :)
Cheers
