What Tom Petty did through this song though is immortalise the very act that connoisseurs across the globe today fondly call Sky-diving – one of the most daring and exciting recreational activity known to man.

Sky-diving or parachuting as it is called, is an activity involving a pre-planned drop from a height using a deployable parachute.
